WILMINGTON — Doris R. Close, age 89, passed away on Friday April 21, 2023 at her home.
She was born in Brunswick County on July 22, 1933 the daughter of the late, Daniel L. Potter and Wardie Willetts Potter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Close, two sons,
Robert Earl Henry and Carl Keith Henry; two brothers, Edgar Potter and CC Potter.
Surviving are a son, Daniel Henry and wife, Barbara of Wilmington; one grandson, Daniel Keith Potter; several nieces and nephews and all her friends from South Carolina.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.
