LELAND — Marcia Lynne Taylor of Leland, Passed away on February 21,2023 at Novant Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, She was born on August 27, 1957 in Bethpage N.Y.
Marcia earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at University of Lynchburg, Lynchburg Virginia. Previously she was awarded a Diploma in Nursing with honors from St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, N.Y. As a Registered Nurse, she worked with various hospitals and institutions in New York and Virginia.
She is survived by three brothers Jim, Tom, and David Taylor, and her sister Debbie Taylor Sward. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents Reverend James F. Taylor and Lillian (Pottberg) Taylor.
Marcia was loving aunt to James, Andrew, Jean, Kirsten, and Sara. She was loving great aunt to James, Devon, Luke, Fiona, Dean, Raya, and Theo.
A celebration of Marcia’s life will be held 10 a.m., on March 11, 2023, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, Queens, N.Y. at the Pottberg grave site.
