SOUTHPORT — Charlie “Chubby” Swain, age 93, of Southport, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
Mr. Swain was born May 11, 1929, in Southport, son of the late Glenn Swain. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Swain was an active member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, serving on many auxiliaries. Chubby was loved and well known in the Southport community and in greater Brunswick County.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Samuel Spicer officiating.
