WILMINGTON — Linda was born to the late David G. Martin Sr. and Lillie B. Martin on July 8, 1954, in Wilmington, NC. Linda died on January 27, 2023, with her family by her side. She is proceeded in death by her Nephew Bradley David Martin and Great Nephew Coby Lee Martin.
Linda is survived by her son John James IV (wife Lesley) of Cumming Georgia and (granddaughter Lillie Kate Cox husband Cameron and great granddaughter Addie Cox), (grandchildren John James V, Camden King, and Shelby Katherine James). Daughter Briana Cornett, (husband Cory), and (grandson Chase) of Damascus Virginia. Brother David G. Martin Jr. and (wife Dorothy) of Rocky Point, NC. Brother Marshall Martin of Wilmington, NC. Sister Deborah M. Savage and (husband Jesse III) of Wilmington, NC. Sister Ruth Martin of Wilmington, NC. As well as many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and other family members that loved her dearly.
Linda was employed with Harris Teeter on College Road in Wilmington, NC and will be missed greatly by her supervisor and friend Theresa Hyatt, fellow co-workers and customers.
Linda loved to dance and like the line in the song: “And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance”. Linda didn’t sit it out, SHE DANCED!
