
WILMINGTON — Harold Gene Adams, age 55, residing in Pender County, NC passed away on Monday August 29, 2022, after a lengthy battle with a terminal illness at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare.
Harold was born on January 30, 1967 and grew up in Wilmington, NC. He graduated from E. A. Laney High School and later pursued a career in Law Enforcement, after graduating from Cape Fear Community College with his Basic Law Enforcement certificate. He served the citizens of New Hanover County with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office for over 27 years. Over the years he promoted through the ranks, ultimately retiring as a Lieutenant and Assistant Division Commander with the Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure, Harold was awarded a life-saving award, honor of merit and several other law enforcement recognized certificates.
Harold lived a full life, often enjoying yard work, spending time with family, and going to the mountains of North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Landry Adams, three children, Anthony Adams, Tiffani Adams, Parker Adams and two stepchildren, Tori Holt, and Collin Holt. He is also survived by his parents Carol Adams, and John Adams, along with sister Belinda Adams-Bybee.
Celebration of life for Harold will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, located at 5709 Murrayville Road, NC 28405. Service will begin at 5pm.
