BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Myrtle Benton Cook, 101, of Brunswick County, NC passed into her eternal rest on June 25, 2022. Myrtle was born on March 17, 1921, to the late James and Madge Benton in Brunswick, NC.
In addition to her parents, Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Cook, Sr, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Howell Cook, and a great grandson, Joshua Emerson Cook. She is survived by her son, Richard A. Cook, Jr.; grandchildren, Richard Steven Cook and his wife, Sherri, granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Cook and her husband, Ben; great grandchildren, Chad Austin Cook, Kayla Nicole Cook and Safia Wagadally, great-great grandson, Ryan Alexander Cook; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Myrtle’s life on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11 am at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
