HAMPSTEAD — Jeanne Kornegay, 57, died peacefully in her home on Friday, May 6, 2022.
She was born in Goldsboro, NC on March 19, 1965, and was the daughter of Joyce Smith Howard and the late Horace Kornegay.
In addition to her mother, Jeanne is survived by her daughter Jessica Tart (husband Ryon); son Shawn Tippett; sister Angel Kornegay Wagner; grandson Tristan Tart.
Jeanne was a free soul, and was happy to just be along for the ride. She was kind to everyone she met, and always found a way to help whenever she could. Jeanne will be greatly missed by her family and friends. To the Moon and Back.
A Memorial Service will be held for Jeanne at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Andrews Mortuary – Hampstead Chapel, 17730 Hwy 17 North, Hampstead, NC 28443.
