WILMINGTON — Gary Paul “Pooch” Pucci, 68, of Wilmington, NC, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away on May 5, 2022, after a long illness.
Born in Michigan on July 21, 1953, he was the son of the late Paul J. Pucci Sr (2018) and Nancy J. (Erickson) Pucci (2004).
He is survived by his son, Kyle, his ex-wife Mary Garner (his “Rock” as Gary always said), stepmother Catherine Pucci, his siblings Paul J. Pucci Jr (Susan), Cathy A. McLean (Christopher), Lisa P. Crouse, Deneen A. Dulka (Kevin), Shelly J. Gazis (Fotis), 11 Nieces and Nephews and 5 Great Nieces and Nephews.
Gary thoroughly enjoyed attending NASCAR events, was a big collector of race car memorabilia, baseball cards, comic books and record albums. Playing Poker with his buddies was his favorite pastime.
Gary will be greatly missed by many. A “Celebration of Life” will be planned in the near future.
