Anne (Warwick) Van Nordheim, 92

WILMINGTON — Anne (Warwick) Van Nordheim died peacefully in her home on February 21, 2022. Anne was born on August 9, 1929, in Lumberton, NC to the late Charles A. & Mozelle Warwick. She was one of eight siblings. Anne was preceded in death by her late husband, Edward, brother Charles Warwick, Jr.  and sisters Louise Bryan, Alice Edwards, and Nancy Owens.

A few months after graduating from Lumberton High School, Anne boarded a train to Hastings, NE where she married her late husband of 67 years. Anne worked in a state hospital in Hastings until the birth of their first child. She became a homemaker and moved several times during Ed’s career. They lived in McCook, NE, Kansas City, MO, Topeka, KS and Mexico City, Mexico. In 1974 Ed retired and they settled in Wilmington.

While raising their three children, Anne also developed several interests which included sewing, reading, shopping, and playing golf.

Anne was a woman of strong faith. She was a faithful member of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church, where she served as deacon, circle chairman, and on several committees. Anne took great joy shopping, wrapping, and delivering food and gifts to church sponsored families during Christmas.
