LELAND — Hilda Grey Lynch Vowell, age 81 of Leland, NC, passed away at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Bolivia, NC on February 8, 2022.
Hilda was born on February 4, 1941 in Whiteville, NC to the late Cleveland L. and Lona Watts Lynch.
Hilda is survived by her husband Jerry Vowell, her son Charlie G. Keipper (Kathy L.), sister Lizzie Lynch Corely (Edward L.), her nieces Allison Willisford (Tom), Diane Wegener (Darold), and Nancy Raynor, as well as many other special extended family members and friends. Her church and Sunday school family held a special place in her heart, too, and she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Hilda is predeceased by both her aforementioned parents, her son Ronald D. Keipper, brothers Wilton L. Lynch and Thurston G. Lynch, and her sisters Thelma L. Raynor, Lois L. Leggett, and Molly L. Hill.
A visitation is planned for Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Leland, with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 11:00am.
