Lillian Seemann Hoffmann

WILMINGTON — Lillian Seemann Hoffmann of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  Lil was born in Teaneck, NJ, daughter of the late Frank Revicki and Bertha (Schultz) Revicki.  She is predeceased by her husbands, Gilbert Seemann and Charles Hoffmann and two sisters, Irene Stedtler and Dorothy Van.  She is survived by her sister Anne Miller of Hampstead, NC; 5 children, Joanie Palzer and husband Al of Fort Lee, NJ, Patricia Petersen of Gurnee, IL, Linda Helfricht of Little River, SC, Gilbert Seemann and wife Tammy of Wilmington, NC and Karen Rambala and husband Frank of Hawthorne, NJ; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. 

Lil was happiest in the kitchen.  She worked as a waitress in New Jersey most of her life until moving to North Carolina, where she became an entrepreneur and owner of the well-known “Deli By The Links” in Hampstead, NC.  When not working, Lil was an avid golfer and was a member of Belvedere Golf Club.  The only thing Lil loved more than her family was dogs, which accompanied her all of her life.  Lil enjoyed gardening, the beach and music.  Her contagious laughter will be missed.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 18th an 2:00 p.m. at Andrews Hampstead Chapel, 17730 Highway 17 North, Hampstead, NC.  A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society in Lil’s name.
