WILMINGTON — Willis Calvin Corbett, 59, passed on to his heavenly home Saturday, September 25, 2021.
He was born in New Hanover County on September 21,1962. Calvin was the son of the late Willis Rudolph Corbett and Gertrude McLamb Corbett.
Calvin is survived by sisters, Margie Williams (Joe), Judy Heath and Darlene Sherman (Steve), brother, Thomas Parker (Juanita) and sister-in-law, Linda Parker and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, R.F. Parker and brother-in-law Nelson Heath.
Calvin was often referred to by his mother as “her angel on earth”. He was definitely one of God’s special children. He was a gentle and loving soul. He loved his Lego’s and would construct things that would absolutely amaze you. Calvin attended a school for special needs children for 30 years, which brought him so much joy. He loved life with his family and friends. Calvin always put a smile on everyone’s face he came in contact with.
Calvin will be deeply missed! Until we meet again, we have so many happy, fun and loving memories with Calvin and wouldn’t change one thing about him!

Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Butler Anderson officiating.
