CAROLINA BEACH — William “Bill” Anthony Loschiavo, age 90, passed away surrounded by three (3) generations of his loving family on September 18, 2021 at his residence in Carolina Beach, NC. Bill was born in New York City on June 5, 1931, the son of the late John and Mary Loschiavo.
In February of 1951, Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving as an Aircraft Jet Engine Mechanic and achieving the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged in 1955.
In 1959 Bill married the love of his life, Connie, and together they raised a family in Mount Olive, NJ where they resided for 20 years. In 1990, they moved to North Carolina and several years later retired to Carolina Beach. A devout catholic, dedicated to a life of service, Bill served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary for 15 years, was a volunteer at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Eucharistic Minister at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wilmington, NC. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed watching the New York Football Giants, traveling, reading, woodworking, and spending time with his friends and family.
Bill was a devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, and adoring great-grandfather. He leaves behind four (4) children; William Loschiavo (Lori), Thomas Loschiavo (Kelly), Janet Stackhouse (Ray), and Michael Loschiavo (Marisol); eight (8) grandchildren, Timothy, James, Lesli-Ann, Michael, Julie, Sarah, Zachary and Aaron; three (3) great-grandchildren, Hudson, Luca and Brynn; as well as countless loved ones and many lifelong friends.
A 9:00 am funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6650 Carolina Beach Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412.
He will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mount Olive, NJ beside his beautiful wife of over 52 years and son, John Loschiavo.
