Frankie Brewer Morgan was born on April 20, 1939 in Ramseur, NC. She attended public school there and graduated from high school in Elkhart, Indiana. Over her lifetime she lived in 38 states. She was groundbreaking in her studies to become an EMT, overshadowing the men in her class. She had a love for the medical field and her only regret was that she never had an opportunity to pursue it further because of the times in which she lived. Later in life, she settled into two North Carolina state government positions. These included a stint in Asheboro public schools and her work at the NC DHS Childhood Development Center from which she retired in 2005. She was passionate about her family and friends and most importantly her faith in Christ. Over her time in Asheboro & Wilmington she was active in several churches including Brush Creek Baptist Church, 1st Assembly of God in Asheboro % later, Cornerstone Assembly of God in Wilmington where she met and married her husband. She was also active in service at Believers Destiny Church, Graceway Church of Carolina Beach and Faith Life Fellowshio of Wilmington. She was an overcomer who relied on her faith in Christ to conquer her personal battle with cancer.
According to Frankie’s wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes interred next to her Father, James Carl Brewer in the Asheboro area. A memorial service for family and friends in the Wilmington area will be held at Faith Life Fellowship, 725 Wellington Ave, Wilmington, NC at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 21. A graveside memorial service will be held at Brush Creek Baptist Church, 5345 Airport Rd, Bearcreek, NC 27207 at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 25th.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that each person take it upon themselves to show an unusual act of kindness and love to a family member, a friend or stranger that represents the love of Christ. Jesus said, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”-John 15:12.
