SUPPLY — Sallie Ann Suggs Carmichael, 74, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center.
Sallie was born in Brunswick County Jan. 10, 1947, to the late George Benjamin and Theatus Ellen Lee Suggs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Renee McKeithan; first husband, Homer S. McKeithan; brother, Billy Albert Suggs; sister, Helen S. Hewett; and grandson, James Gray.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, John “Wes” Carmichael; children, Danny McKeithan, and his wife, Denise, Pamela McKeithan, and Matthew McKeithan, and his wife, Amber, all of Supply, Wayne McKeithan, and his wife, Tilly, of Shallotte, James McKeithan, and his wife, Linda, of Archdale and Anthony McKeithan, and his wife, Misty, of Shallotte; three brothers, George Leroy Suggs of Tabor City, Sammy K. Suggs of Supply and Earl Suggs of Charlotte; two sisters, Linda Anderson of Hickmans Crossroads and Gloria Suggs of Ocean Isle Beach; and 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, at Shepherd Assembly Church, 6720 Old Shallotte Road, NW, Ocean Isle Beach. Burial will follow in the McKeithan Cemetery, Ash. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to services at the church.
