Uma Maheswara Rao Atluri, 78, enjoyed gardening and walking

LELAND — Uma Maheswara Rao Atluri, 78, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born Aug. 12, 1942, in India to the late Bhupat Rao Atluri and Jagadamba Valluripalli.

Uma Maheswara loved walking and gardening. Most of all, he loved being with his family and volunteering in the SVS Balaji Temple in Aurora, Illinois.

Uma Maheswara is survived by his wife, Krishna Atluri; sons, Bhupat Atluri, and his wife, Rajya Atluri, and Gowtham Atluri, and his wife, Pujita Atluri; and grandchildren, Girisha, Agastya, Meghana and Varsha.

A public visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m., Thursday, April 29, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, Wilmington. A private ceremony will follow at 11 a.m. The ceremony will be livestreamed and available for viewing on this webpage.
