WILMINGTON — Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Frye, 70, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1950, in Seagrove, the son of Ernest Frye and Leona Ritter Frye.
Ronnie worked for many years as a residential painter.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sherry; children, Rhonda Poythress, Chip Frye and Tracy Frye; grandchildren, Brandy Graham, and her husband, Chad, Michelle Poteet, Michael Newman, Madison Frye and Makayla Frye; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa Graham, Cailey Graham, Nevaeh Mintz, Emyrie Poteet, Isaiah Poteet, J.C. Poteet and Conner Poteet.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 10, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. A memorial service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will follow at 3 p.m.
