Douglas F. Bradshaw, 87, Navy veteran who served during the Korean War

WILMINGTON — Douglas F. Bradshaw, 87, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. He was the husband of the late Barbara Bradshaw. Born Sept. 1, 1933, in Wallace, he was the son of Maggie Lou and Thomas R. Bradshaw.

Mr. Bradshaw was a U.S. Navy veteran and proudly served during the Korean War. He enjoyed remodeling projects around his home, growing flowers, gardening and fishing. He was a member of Windermere Presbyterian Church and the Rotary Club of Wallace.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Bradshaw; and sister, Polly Norris.

Mr. Bradshaw is survived by his children, Kristi Womble, and her husband, Davion, and Tony F. Bradshaw; grandchildren, Fern and Brendan Stewart; and brother, Harry Bradshaw.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
