WILMINGTON — John Charles Page, 51, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020. The son of Nancy Lee and John G. Page, he was born Dec. 30, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland.

He graduated from Martinsville High School in Martinsville, Virginia, and East Carolina University in Greenville. Most of his working career was spent in the flooring industry in Wilmington.

John loved children, music of all kinds, the beach, chocolate labs and trying new recipes. He was a huge Cubs fan. John loved people and treated everyone the same regardless of race, gender or economic status. He was an example for all of us.

He is survived by his parents; sister, Mary Elizabeth Dobbs, and her husband, Tim; nephew, Grant Christian Page; aunts, Nancy Jackson (Jerry) and Carol Haase; and uncle, Al Haase (Dr. Joanne Salerno).

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at Pine Valley United Methodist Church, 3788 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, in the Christian Life Center. All COVID-19 state guidelines will be observed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Pine Valley United Methodist Church, 3788 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28403.
