HAMPSTEAD — Vernon Daniel “Danny” Lewis, 64, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and three children.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth Morris Lewis; son, Nathaniel Lewis; daughters, Danielle Shepard (LaNier) and Natasha Pfeiffer; three grandchildren, Reagan Lea, Caroline Shepard and Maverick Pfeiffer; and sisters, Rhonda DeVane (Gary) and Sharon Hardison (Doug).
Danny’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, with a paddle-out service at Roland Avenue Beach Access, located at the north side of Surf City Pier.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice.
