CASTLE HAYNE — Andrew Jacob ‘Andy’ King, 38, passed away of natural causes Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, at home. He was born Oct. 12, 1981, in Wichita, Kansas.
He received a master’s degree from Western Governors University in 2010 and worked in this field for many years.
Andrew had a passion for art, music, karate and technology. He received many awards for his paintings, piano performances and software developments. Andrew was a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. He had an exceptional ability to understand, evaluate and solve complex problems. He was gentle, kind, compassionate and always willing to help others in need.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Wayne King, and is survived by his mother, Susan Booth.
The family extends their thankfulness to the officers and paramedics who tirelessly worked to save this young man. And special thanks is also extended to family and friends who are praying for him and supporting his family at this difficult time.
The family will hold a gathering at a later date. Atlantic Cremation Service is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
