LELAND — Bettye A. “Shorty” Hooper, 72, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020.
Her love and memories will remain in the heart of her husband, the Rev. David Hooper Jr. of the home; children, Andrea L. Hooper and Pastor Kevin Hooper, both of Leland; one grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 1, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. A celebration of Mrs. Hooper’s life will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, March 2, at Hoopers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3627 Dogwood Road N.E., Leland. Interment will follow at Hoopers Cemetery.
