Suesan S. Swinson, 64, enjoyed volunteering in her community

WILMINGTON — Ms. Suesan S. Swinson, 64, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019. The daughter of the late Veronica (Ronnie) and Sisto L. Silvaggi, she was born Feb. 7, 1955, in Jacksonville. Suesan attended Northwoods Elementary and Northwoods Park Junior High. She graduated from Jacksonville Senior High School with the Class of 1973.

Early in life, Suesan found her salvation through Jesus Christ, in her lifelong faithful servitude to the heavenly father. Additionally, she perpetually sought out to fill various social roles; from being vice president of her junior class office, to being a dean’s assistant at her children’s high school.

Suesan married one time in her life. On Sept. 29, 1979, her father Sisto walked her to the alter to be wed in holy matrimony to Jesse H. Swinson. This union was blessed with three children.

Suesan was an active member in her communities. At Scotts Hill Baptist Church, where she was part of a women’s group; her residential communities, most notably off of the Intracoastal Waterway, where she lived for over 30 years, to her growing friendships since 2017, while living in Covil Estates, in the Ogden area of New Hanover County.

The memories of her happy and imaginative life will be cherished and reverberated through the lives of her surviving family, Jesse H. Swinson; sister, Cynthia (Cindy) Baker; brother-in-law, Dr. John Baker; daughter, Rebecca L. Daggett; son-in-law, Ryan Daggett; grandson-in-law, Jason Canuel; son, Jesse Paul Swinson; daughter-in-law, Amy Swinson; grandson, Asher L. Swinson; and son, James A. Swinson (Drew).

Please join us for a celebration of her life at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at New Hanover Church, 318 Silver Lake Road, Wilmington.
