SOUTHPORT — Susan Michelle Mozingo, 61, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, with her family by her side while listening to her favorite Janis Joplin music.
Susan was a very free-spirited woman. In Susan’s earlier years, she was a teacher. She then went on to run a machine shop and farm. She lived each day as if it was her last, and nobody was a stranger. Susan loved the beach and loved to go fishing with her boyfriend Tony. Susan cared deeply for her children and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Susan was also very passionate about her dogs. Susan will be missed by her family and all who have ever met her.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Thomas Lilly and Joshua Todd Lilly, both of Shallotte; the love of her life, Anthony Glenn Sinclair of Southport; four sisters, Sandy Culifer, Mitsy Williams, Carla Smith and Renee Dalley; and two grandchildren, Liam and Sophia.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at the home of her son Joshua, 34 Fairway Drive, Shallotte.
