SHALLOTTE — Sara Eleanor Truesdale, 94, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019.
Born May 22, 1925, in Honea Path, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lamar and Frances Maude Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hampton Truesdale; granddaughter, Emily Truesdale, and brother, Ernest Howard Cox.
Surviving are her sons, John H. Truesdale II (Peggy) of Ocean Isle Beach and Jack Lamar Truesdale (Beth) of Fernandina Beach, Florida; daughters, Ann T. Allen (Dan) of Tryon and Connie T. Parker (Harold) of Wilmington; and seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at Jennies Branch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Casket bearers will be her grandsons.
