WILMINGTON — Retired CW3 Samuel B. Williams, 66, chairman of the Trustee Board of Union Missionary Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Judy C. Williams; sons, Samuel B. Williams II and Julian B. Williams (Christy), both of Wilmington; siblings, Annie B. Tisdale (James) of Abbeville, South Carolina, Jay Williams (Julia) of Clio, South Carolina, Leroy Williams (Shirlene) of Raeford, Nellie Allen (Thomas) of Bennettsville, South Carolina, Timothy Williams (Pam) of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Alice McCall (James) of High Point; 15 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 11, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. A celebration of Mr. Williams’ life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, July 12, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 2929 Princess Place Drive, Wilmington. Interment will be held at noon, Monday, July 15, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
