WILMINGTON — Nancy Teresa Smith Bourland, 57, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at her home after a courageous battle with ALS.
Teresa was an over-the-road trucker who lived her life the way she loved, seeing the country from a commanding view, pushing those 18 wheels.
She leaves to cherish her memory her best friend, loving mother and caregiver, Nancy Kaye Merrill; Nancy’s helper and fiancee, James Lacey; father Paul Merrill; three brothers, James Smith, Charles Smith and Timmy Merrill; and her best pal and road companion, Peanut.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
