CALABASH — Paul Francis Hardee, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019.
Born Sept. 15, 1930, in Horry County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late William Frank Hardee and Pauline Westbury Hardee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Barnhill Hardee.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from International Paper Company as a land management supervisor. He was a member of McMilly Hunting Club and the VFW. Mr. Hardee was a former Boy Scout leader.
Surviving are his daughter, Sherry Gail Price (Troy) of Calabash; son, William Paul “Bill” Hardee (Jan) of Tarpon Springs, Florida; brother, Bob Hardee of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; sisters, Joyce Privette of Conway, South Carolina, Betty Sue Watts of Columbia, South Carolina, and Patty Lee and Lenora Thompson, both of Conway, South Carolina; grandchildren, Joshua Hardee (Liz), Jeremy Hardee (Brooke), Kimberly Pounsberry (Rick), Christen Cox (Webb), Jessica Price and Kelly Bell (Clayton); great-grandchildren, Skye, Forrest, Jameson, Coy, Camden, Caroline, Addison, Ava, Elizabeth and Emily.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Chris Stanley. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Casket bearers will be Joshua Hardee, Jeremy Hardee, Webb Cox, Rick Pounsberry, Glenn Watts and John Henry Hill.
