CAROLINA BEACH — Donald Chandos Shuart, 69, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, at his residence. He was born March 19, 1949, in Urbana, New York, the son of Andrew Douglas Shuart and Gladys Jean Snyder Shuart.
Donald worked as a contractor in the construction industry, but described himself as a “jack of all trades and master of many.”
He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Shuart Bursi (Jon); stepson, Travis Otero; sister, Darla Craig (Aaron); brothers, Doug (Denise), Darryl (Diane), Darcie (Joyce), Dale and Dino (Maria). Donald is also survived by his grandchildren, Chandos Young and Kevin Young; and great-grandchild, Madeline Metz.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Liberty Hospice, 2550 41st St., Wilmington, NC 28403, in memory of Donald, would be greatly appreciated.
A service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
