
WILMINGTON — Frances Ann Farrow, 77, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.
She was born Nov. 16, 1941, in Gaston County to Harrel Benjamin Earwood Sr. and Vernie Putnam Earwood. She was the widow of Clyde Ray Farrow, who passed away in 2015.
Frances was a lifelong member of Masonboro Baptist Church and lived near the sound most of her life. She enjoyed boating and fishing in the sound with her family and was an excellent cook and loved to bake. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time at Trails End Park watching the boats and feeding the deer at Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area. She had many jobs during her lifetime career, most recently as a New Hanover County school bus driver for special needs students.
Frances is survived by her three sons, Kenneth Allen Farrow, Clyde LeRay Farrow, and his wife, Carole, and Jesse Harrel Farrow; one sister, Geraldine Wilson of Whiteville; two grandchildren, Louis Ray Farrow and Jonathan Allen Farrow; great-grandchildren, Corben Matthew Farrow, Kori Elizabeth Kay Farrow, Lily Ann Marie Farrow, Mackenzie Pepper and Indiana Boltz.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at Masonboro Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Wes Hunter and the Rev. Gordon Wright. Her urn will be placed with her husband in the church cemetery.
