LELAND — Deborah Rae Connolly, 52, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center.
She was born Feb. 22, 1966, in New Zealand, the daughter of Doreen Rae Christie and the late Roderick “Rod” Christie.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two daughters, Samantha R. and Courtney M. Christie; granddaughter, Kali R. Yopp; sister, Tina Marie Christie; and brother, Kyle Christie.
Deborah was an active member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church, where she was involved in several groups and was a beloved Sunday school teacher. She centered her love and life around God and her family. Everything she did was to better her daughters’ lives and her own. She will be missed by many and remembered always!
The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 19, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington. A memorial service will immediately follow Monday evening beginning at 6 p.m. at Pine Valley United Methodist Church, 3788 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington. A reception will be held at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Deborah Connolly’s family would appreciate donations to her church, local animal shelter or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
