
SUPPLY — John Robert Sabella, 89, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018.
He was born in Manhattan, served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from United Technology as director of pricing and proposal operations before moving to North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, Anthony Sabella and Mable Thomson Sabella, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Sabella; and stepson, William Motta.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Maria Caruana Sabella; sons, Anthony Sabella of Connecticut and John Sabella of Shallotte; daughter, Donna Dvornek of Connecticut; stepson, James Motta, and his wife, Kaori, of Laurel, Maryland; stepdaughter, Diane Cunha, and her husband, Joao P., of Virginia; sister, Frances Kranich of Massachusetts; and seven adored grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m., Monday, Nov. 12, at St. Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held in New York.
