HAMPSTEAD — Bryan Lee Whitehead, 43, beloved son, brother, father, nephew, cousin and loyal friend, left this earth Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, way too soon, leaving a big hole in our hearts.
Bryan was born Feb. 9, 1975, in Wilmington, the beloved son of William Livingston Whitehead and Janet Groves Whitehead.
Left to cherish Lee’s memory in addition to his parents are his son, Zachary Robbins, and his mother, Shannon Robbins; brother, Michael Whitehead, and his daughter, Grace Whitehead; brother, Bill Whitehead, and his wife, Julie, and their children, Trent, Presley and Brandon Whitehead; special friend, Anna-Marie Ward; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends, all who loved Lee.
Lee was a 1993 graduate of Wilmington Christian Academy, where he excelled in basketball. For fun, he enjoyed fishing, golf and trucking. Lee loved his girl cousins, Becky, Johannah, Virginia, Michelle and Tracey. With his great personality, he made friends easily. Once he met you, you were forever in his heart, and he in yours. His greatest gift was the joy he brought others through his laughter with the warmth of his love and friendship he offered freely. Diesel, along with family and friends will miss Lee.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Pastor Bryan Griffith will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
Our Lee “Lee Bug” has been set free! God has delivered him from his burden. Lee is now with his maker and one day we will see him again.
Share online condolences with the family at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home.
