SHALLOTTE — John Robert “Bob” Ford II, 69, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018. He was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Fayetteville, a son of John Robert Ford Sr. and Mildred Johnson Barefoot.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Robert Ford III; and a daughter, Terri Lynn Sykes.
He was a master mason and a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn “Lynn” Harris Ford; daughters, Amy Childers, Tracy Ann Sykes and Anita Dianne Beatty; son, Michael Sykes; and grandchildren, Liam O’Connell, Caleb and Nolan Childers, Bethany, Summer and Logan Sykes; and family-in-love, Rex, Eva and Casey King.
Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
