WILMINGTON — Joseph Michael White, 74, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
He was born Nov. 27, 1943, in Greensboro, the son of Murray Eugene White and Julia Jordan White.
Joseph served his country with honor and distinction as a seaman in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Joseph owned and operated a number of businesses during his lifetime, most recently as the operator of a towing service.
He is survived by his wife, Darleene; daughter, Lynn Berryhill, and her husband, Ben; son, Joey M. White, and his wife, Larice; granddaughters, Carly White and Cydney White; brothers, Kelly White and John White; and an extended family too numerous to list.

The family will gather to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at the George Brothers Funeral Home, 803 Greenhaven Drive, Greensboro.
