Virginia Ann Cockman Fogleman, 84, enjoyed traveling with family and friends

WILMINGTON — Virginia Ann Cockman Fogleman, 84, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at the Davis Community.

She was born Jan. 26, 1934, in Pender County, daughter of the late Carlos Wesley Cockman and Ruby Eakins Cockman.

Mrs. Fogleman was employed with Indianhead Hosiery for many years and later with City Optical for over 15 years. She was a member of Winter Park Baptist Church and also attended Wrightsboro Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Paul, family and friends to Canada, Mexico and various destinations out West. Mrs. Fogleman loved to do canning, flower arranging, decorating for Christmas and baking.

Surviving are her daughter, Denise Futch, and her husband, Kenny; grandson, Kip Futch (Erika), and their daughter, Kameron; two sisters, Jane Rich (Wayne) of Wallace and Linda Page (Harris) of Wilmington; niece, Tracy Stout (Tommy), and their children, Jordan Teachey, Caroline Stout and Thomas Stout; nephew, Shannon Page; niece, Hollie Landen, and children Wesley Landen and Harrison Landen. Mrs. Fogleman was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul Fogleman, former owner of Hanover Barber Shop and retired from G.E.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, at Eakins Cemetery in Pender County with the Rev. Mike Lewis officiating.
