Sheryl Willetts Hoffman, 67, member of McClure Presbyterian Church

WILMINGTON — Sheryl Willetts Hoffman, 67, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at home after a battle with mesothelioma.

She was born Dec. 31, 1950, in Wilmington, the daughter of John W. “Bill” and Evelyn Moody Willetts. She loved the Lord and was a member of McClure Presbyterian Church in Castle Hayne and served as an elder there for many years. She was also active in the North Carolina Sorosis and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

She is survived by her husband, Grayling Hoffman; sons, Charles Cavileer (Heidi), Kyle Cavileer (Tasha) and Trevor Cavileer; sister, Donna Cook (Billy); grandchildren, Carsen, Collin, Donovan, Ella, Logan, Maison, Sam, Stirling, Thomas and Zachary; great-granddaughter, Addison; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, at Andrews Valley Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, at Andrews Valley Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Martha Highsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sheryl’s memory may be made to the North Carolina Sorosis or the Alzheimer’s Association.
