James Edward “Jimmy” Furr Sr., 71, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. Jimmy was born Oct. 28, 1946, in New Hanover County.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jones Furr; father, Curtis Nesbitt Furr; mother, Mary Frances Craven Furr; and beloved sisters, Doris Furr Ferris and Barbara Furr Davis.
He is survived by his son, James Edward Furr Jr., and his wife, Mandy; grandson, Trent Furr, and his wife, Anna; brother, Jerry Furr; sisters, Betty Furr Eason, Mildred Furr Eason, Libby Furr Taylor and Joyce Furr Hansley; and his many special nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 19, at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 1535 S. 41st St., Wilmington. Family visitation will be held at 6 p.m.
