Margaret Louise Moore Clemmons, 87, died Monday, July 9, 2018. Louise, as she preferred to be called, was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Castle Hayne to Sampson and Ruby Westbrook Moore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert Clemmons Jr.; sisters, Virginia and Mary; brothers, William, Sampson and Harold; and daughter-in-law, Wasna.
Mrs. Clemmons was very proud of her two sons for their service in the military and for her other son’s service to the Wilmington Police Department.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert, and his wife, Teresa, Michael, and his wife, Jan, and Timothy; eight grandchildren, Christopher and Carrie, Steven and Amiee, Jeffery and Maria, Hannah, Michael Jr. and Heather, Sampson, Ariel and Timothy Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, Broderick, Sullivan and Avery.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 12, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Rob Lapp officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Per family wishes, interment will be private.
