OCEAN ISLE BEACH — Thomas Marion Bailey, 74, died Monday, June 18, 2018.
Thomas was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Albemarle, a son of the late Thomas Loyd and Geneva Holt Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Bailey.
He retired from the Charlotte Fire Department after 30 years of service with rank of captain.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Irene Holbrooks Bailey; daughter, Teresa Belcher (Willie) of Holden Beach; son, Steve Crooks of Ocean Isle Beach; brother, Ken Bailey of Columbia, S.C.; sister, Joyce Wreen; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 23, at Victory Word Missions, 10000 Beach Drive, Suite 8, Calabash. A reception will follow at the Calabash Fire Department.
