SUPPLY — John Fredrick “Fred” Parker Sr., 90, died Sunday, June 3, 2018.

Fred was born Nov. 3, 1927, in Brunswick County. He was a son of the late John Morton and Fannie Pierce Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Parker; daughter, Robin Hobbs; grandchild, Julie Parker; son-in-law, Tommy Bradsher; and sister, Clara Lennon.

Prior to retirement, he was co-owner/operator of J.M. Parker & Sons Building Supply. He was a real estate developer and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are his son, the Rev. John F. “Ricky” Parker Jr. of Clarendon; daughter, Wanda P. Bradsher of Supply; brother, Albert Parker (Kathleen) of Supply; sister, Joann Mintz (Tylon) of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; grandchildren, Erika Campbell (Rusty), Melissa Lee (Chris), Will Bradsher II, Meghan Casteen (Chad), Kortney Nowell (Gary), Sara Knox (Cody), Augusta Caison (Troy) and Madeline Hobbs; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, at Sharon UMC and with the Rev. Eddie Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
