
HAMPSTEAD — Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Donahue, 75, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at home.
Betty was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Hudson, New York, daughter of the late Alexander Donald Frederick and Emma Louise Miller Frederick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Donahue Jr.; son, Timothy Donahue; and brother, Dennis Frederick.
Betty was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time playing cards with her friends, watching murder mysteries and her beloved Red Sox. She loved to travel over the years, especially to Las Vegas, where she enjoyed her slot machines and poker games. Betty lived most of her life in Enfield, Connecticut, close to her family, but enjoyed the warmth and sunshine of North Carolina for the past few years.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Donahue III, and his wife, Stephanie Donahue, of Connecticut, and Sean Donahue, and his wife, Shari Donahue, of Hampstead, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Anamarie Donahue, Gavin Donahue and Andrew Hubbard; son-in-law, Paul MacLaughlin of Massachusetts; and a sister, Donna Hepp Allen of North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel with the Rev. Bob Kus officiating.
