SHALLOTTE — Francis William “Frank” Dilworth Jr., 65, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.
Mr. Dilworth was born Sept. 25, 1952, in Sellersville, Pa., the son of the late Francis William Dilworth Sr. and Doris Goehns Dilworth. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan C. Dilworth.
He retired from the Hilltown Township Police Department after 25 years of dedicated service. Mr. Dilworth was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Dilworth; seven children, Francis W. “Frank” Dilworth III of Supply, Scott Dilworth of Stowe, Pa., Jennifer Koeing of Lansdale, Pa., Jonathan Dilworth of Bolivia, Christina Remley of Sellersville, Pa., Felecia Duna of Gilbertsville, Pa., and John Remley of Shallotte; brother, James Dilworth of Horsham, Pa.; a sister, Jae Mullen of Norristown, Pa.; and 14 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 13, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 494 Mt. Pisgah Road, Supply, with the Rev. Jesse Mooney officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Cape Fear Memorial Park Columbarium, Highway 211, Southport. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Ashley Crocker, 833 Boxwood Lane, Supply.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests memorials be directed in Frank’s memory to SECU Hospice House, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422; or to the Ryan C. Dilworth Memorial Fund, C/O any CRESCOM Bank location.
