WILMINGTON — Shun-Fen Shih Lin, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, March 26, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 1, 1931, in Taiwan. A graduate in mathematics from the National Taiwan University, she was a high school math teacher.
During her times in Bethesda, Md., she applied her kindness to various charitable activities and was instrumental in the production of an English translation of medical terms that was well appreciated by the local Chinese community.
Mrs. Lin was preceded in death by her daughter, Yueh-Chen. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Chia-Shi; son, Yang-Pi; and two granddaughters, Celina and Amanda.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, March 30, at Andrews Market Street.
