WILMINGTON — Catherine Stolle Fullerton, 70, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at home in the arms of her loving husband, Bob.
Cathy was born Jan. 12, 1947, in Richmond, Ind., daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Stolle. Her sister, Mary Jane Gross; and brother, Edward Stolle, also preceded her in death.
Cathy was happily married to her husband, Bob, for 48 years. She was the “love of his life” and will be sorely missed. Cathy was a beautiful woman on the outside but even more beautiful on the inside. Cathy had a 49-year career as a licensed practical nurse. She was knowledgeable, experienced and professional throughout her working career and was awarded the North Carolina LPN of the Year honors in 1982.
Cathy was a devoted member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Wilmington for over 40 years. During that time, she served as a youth ministry leader, Pastoral Council member and an extraordinary minister. She also volunteered her time to Tileston Clinic and to the nursing home sick and elderly.
Cathy is survived by three children, Lynn F. Stinson (Craig), Lari A. Fullerton and John R. Fullerton (Britt), all of Wilmington; five grandchildren; sister, Patricia Wright of Mobile, Ala.; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, at Andrews Market Street Chapel, beginning with the Rosary at 3 p.m. with visitation to follow. A funeral Mass, officiated by the Rev. Michael Burbeck, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4, at St. Mark Catholic Church on Eastwood Road. Interment will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
