WILMINGTON — Manette Dixon Mintz, 95, wife of the late John W. Mintz, was born July 6, 1922, in Wilmington, N.C., and lived there until her death Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017.
She was a past grand matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and had many lifelong friends in Wilmington.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Richard Gough Jr., James Towler Jr., Bill Chenier (dec.), Suzanne (Chenier) Giarmarco, Beth (Chenier) Runyan and Nancy (Johnson) Dewhirst. Her nephews and nieces remember her as a loving aunt who provided them with many fond memories of their visits to her house on the sound.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 4, at Oakdale Cemetery.
