WILMINGTON — Carolyn Williams Tetirick, 79, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017. She was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Wilmington to the late Seth Williams and Hazel Mincy Williams.
Carolyn was a lifetime employee of Bell Telephone Company. She was an active member of Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church for many years.
She was active in local theater for many years. Carolyn held various positions for Tapestry Theatre. She was born and raised locally and was an ardent supporter of many local non-profit groups. Carolyn was a kind, giving sweetheart who would do anything for anyone at any time. The world was a better place with her presence.
Survivors include her life partner, Thomas Burns; dear friend, Stephanie Speros; and a host of cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at Andrews Market Street Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any local charity or non-profit such as WARM, Kids Making It, Good Shepherd, etc.
