WILMINGTON — Judy Ivey, 73, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017. She was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Orange County, N.C., to Augustus and Irene Register. She grew up in Dunn, N.C.
Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked along with her husband for many years at the Su-Ann Shoe Store in downtown Wilmington. In her retirement, she enjoyed caring for her garden, spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband of 54 years, B.C. Ivey; four children, Tony Ivey, and his wife, Carol, Randy Ivey, and his wife, Jill, Shannon Ivey-Morgan, and her husband, Jonathan, and Darren Ivey, and his wife, Karen, all of Wilmington; three grandchildren, A.J., Sam and Cora; along with many cousins.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
