WILMINGTON — William Brian Lane, 47, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017. Brian was born May 7, 1970, a son of Elbert Richard Lane Sr. and Marie Blake Lane.
He is survived by his parents; wife, Charity Croom Lane; son, William Ethan Lane; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Lane; two brothers, Elbert Richard “Ricky” Lane Jr., and his wife, Michelle, of Holly Springs, N.C., and Thomas Douglas Lane, and his wife, Chantel, of Burgaw, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved as his own.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, at Andrews Market Street Chapel with the Rev. Jim Dunn and Dr. Jim Everette officiating. The family will be at the home of Richard and Marie Lane.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital for the care, love and support they gave Brian.
