KURE BEACH — David Alan Bone, 73, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his home surrounded by the love of his family.
David was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Lancaster, Pa. He served as a radio man in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1966. David retired as a postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service.
He enjoyed life and sports. David was frequently found on the pickleball court, golf course and walking on the beach.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine (Kissinger) Kipphorn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lori Bone; children, Kristi Robertson and David Alexander Bone; grandson, Tyler Johnson; brother, Steven Kipphorn; sisters, Pattey Pate and Jackey Chapman; and father-in-law, Max Frye.
